As a small family business, it's hard for us to get our name out there. When it comes to marketing, our number one source is Word of Mouth. This results from having quality products and excellent customer service. We appreciate your referrals and good reviews - they keep us going!

But to meet the critical mass of sales required to keep our business afloat, and our rent, salaries, and health insurance paid, we often have to do additional marketing. That has unfortunately usually been online advertising, on Google, Etsy, Pinterest, Bing, and more.

Advertising sucks, and so does all its downstream effects. Because of that, we focus on search advertising, where the goal is to show up when people are looking for us and our products. We have a very limited marketing budget as a small brand making their own goods. it can be hard to make advertising effective with small spends.

But more importantly: we'd much rather those few marketing dollars go to individual friends, fans, followers, and creative people than huge corporations.

We share a unique-to-you discount code that you can share with friends, family, or your entire network that earns them a generous discount off their order. Once that link is used in a purchase, we send you a unique code for another generous discount for your next order as a thank-you.

This service is provided by our reviews app, Judge.me. We have been collecting honest reviews from our customers for nearly 10 years with this program.

Your unique code is shared on the checkout page, and will always be accessible on your order status page, shared in all order confirmation and update emails. You can find your discount on your recent order status page, or contact us if you need help finding yours!

We offer several incentives for referrals to folks with large followings on social platforms. We'd love for our customers with large friends and family networks to consider joining us here!

Discounts for Followers. We'll share a unique discount code for your followers.

Commission on Sales. You'll earn a commission calculated as a percentage on product sales on new customers and return customers.

Gifts and Samples. We do offer limited gift and sample options for approved affiliates. This is a bit problematic for us, as a handcraft maker using an expensive material. However, we completely understand that for influencers and creators, they may need the actual product in person to take photos or videos. For samples, we may request that the item be returned when complete: we'll provide the postage-paid return envelope.

The Shopify Collabs program brings together millions of stores and millions of creators in one marketplace, making it easy for shops like us to work with many creators, and for creators to work with lots of shops. 

Anybody can apply to join Walnut Studiolo's affiliate program using Shopify Collabs. But to join the network-wide Shopify Collabs program, creators must have a minimum of 1,000 followers on any one social platform.

All of the tracking and calculations is provided by Shopify Collabs, for both creators and brands like us. Creators with YouTube channels can also monetize referrals through the YouTube Shopping affiliate program. YouTube has specific requirements for eligibility, including at least 10,000 followers, membership in the Partner Program, and certain content creators are disallowed, such as content for kids or music channels.
