Our natural leather "bullwhip" style braid makes a tactile, cushioning wrap that looks amazing and stays fast in place.
Durable in the elements, warm to the touch, and grippier when wet, our natural leather is a performance material with a lush look and outstanding handfeel.
Overlapping layers of high quality American leather provide more cushioning, and hand-finished edging assures it lays well. The signature, small diamond pattern visually complements the diameter of the bar.
Like our other bar wraps, the Bullwhip Bar Wraps come as a kit that you braid and stitch on yourself with pre-punched stitching holes, needle, thread, and instructions.
The natural oils in your hands burnish our high-quality American leather into a glossy patina that will last you a lifetime. You get to keep the patina you've earned: you can transfer it from bike to bike, and over the years it will only get more beautiful with use and time.
Fits ergo bars, flat-top bars, drop bars, pursuit bars, bullhorns, and more.

Our high quality leather can be uninstalled from one set of handlebars and re-installed on a new set: simply un-braid and re-install the same way you installed them the first time. Replacement stitch kits, double-sided tape, and leather care dressing available in our Parts section.

An order of braided bar wraps comes with (2) specially-designed straps of leather for braiding on bar wraps - 1 for each side - with ample length to accommodate drop bars (approximately 20" / 51cm braided length per side). The actual length of the wraps is longer than that to accommodate for the braiding. The sew-on section is midway down the wraps and is designed to fit around a section of 1" (25.4mm) diameter bar, where it's stitched under the brake hoods. Leather weighs approximately 4.5oz (128g).
Included in each purchase is two wraps and a stitch kit containing needle, thread, and instructions. Bar plugs not included.

I would have give just about any amount of money to have someone install these wraps. After 2 days, multiple hours each day, and many, many attempts this is the best that I could do on my bike. Super frustrating. I have carbon aero bars and it was very difficult to get the wrap around the bends of the bar to look decent. I'm really not happy with the result and refuse to work on it more. The potential is there but my ability has fallen short. I wouldn't recommend these for anybody. The standard spiral wrap is easier to work with. Also keeping the wrap wet is critical to the success. As the wrap started to dry I got some tearing in spots. I really wanted to love this product but just can't do it. We'll see how long it lasts. I may end up going with regular leather bar tape in a spiral pattern. Very disappointed. The wraps were made well enough but the part that you sew on to the levers was a little small for Sram Axs levers. The installation video was great to have and watched that over 10 times to try to get this right. Also orienting your body to the direction that you're plaiting is helpful.
In a world where nothing seems to stand out this wrap exudes good taste and timelessness! Extremely well crafted and top quality materials. Geoff was accessible to answer questions and offered a lot of great advice. In a disposable culture these wraps are built to last.
