Valerie from Walnut has formulated our very own recipe of leather care for people who appreciate an all-natural, time-tested, pleasant-smelling, non-toxic creme for their vegetable-tanned leather products.

Walnut's Leather Care is based on historic recipes used by New England fishermen for their leather boots - the same recommended by the Library of Congress for leather care.

Designed for the unique requirements of vegetable-tanned leather and outdoor use, our leather dressing is weather-proofing, conditioning but not softening, and has antifungal, antibacterial, and anti-mildew properties.

It can also be used on wood - use it on the cedar sides of the Pocket Pannier and Barrel Bag as well as the leather.

Made in small batches by Valerie and tested by Geoff in the shop, we think the new leather care products are awesome - and so do other leathercrafters!

Fantastic Results on Italian Firenze Vegetable Tanned Leather

I was looking for a leather conditioner for my Italian Firenze vegetable tanned leather bags. I found many choices out there in the marketplace. Many of them didn't seem appropriate for vegetable tanned leathers in general, primarily due to their ingredients. After a bit of research about vegetable tanned leathers, II stumbled upon Walnut Studio. They provides an amazing product that works very well. I like that their leather conditioner contains no petroleum, chemicals, paraffin, just all-natural time-tested ingredients, just like they say. It left my prized Italian leather soft, supple and with a low luxurious shine. I'm quite pleased with the results. Thanks, Walnut Studio for ending my search for the perfect leather conditioner.

great results

Read the fine print

I ordered a tin of the Leather Care and received a tin the size of a quarter coin. Unfortunately I did not realize that for $4.45 you only get a sample as I was expecting a size like a tin of shoe polish. My fault for not looking at the site more closely.
