Leather Washers

Leather washers are eminently practical and useful hardware, and our washers come in four colors, handcrafted from sustainable, recycled leather. 

Use leather washers for a quiet, non-lubricated, smooth, firm-yet-flexible, reliable spacer for moving parts. Ours are made by hand in our workshop from American vegetable-tanned leather, making use of the odd sizes of leather left behind after making our other products. Fully up-cycled!

For Bicycles: These leather washers are great for dampening vibration and silencing rattles, and can be used in many places on the bicycle: between the fender and the fork crown, the seat stay bridge, the chain stay bridge, and between the fender and racks mounted to the fender. They also can lessen the likelihood of stress cracks on aluminum fenders, and reduce noise from pebbles and twigs bouncing into the fenders. 

For Drawer Pulls: Our leather washers complete the look when used in place of the metal washers in our Leather Drawer Pull Collection. They can also provide a thicker spacer when needed.

COLORS: Natural, Honey, Dark Brown, Black

DIMENSIONS: Approximately 1/8" (3mm) thick, 5/8" (15mm) outside diameter (OD), 5/32" (5mm) inside diameter (ID). I punch the holes by hand, so each one is slightly different. The center hole may not be perfectly centered by machine standards but I get it as close as I can.
