Experience both luxury and performance on your handlebars with old-fashioned vegetable-tanned leather grips. Durable in the elements, warm to the touch, and grippier when wet, our natural leather is a performance material with a beautiful look.
Like our other easy to sew on products, the City Grips come as a kit that you stitch on yourself with pre-punched stitching holes, needle, thread, and instructions.
The natural oils in your hands burnish our high-quality American leather into a glossy patina that will last you a lifetime. You get to keep the patina you've earned: you can transfer it from bike to bike, and over the years it will only get more beautiful with use and time.
Fits standard flat handlebars with a 0.875" (7/8") diameter (approximately 22mm).

I am absolutely delighted with these leather grips. The quality of the leather, the craftsmanship and the overall appearance are outstanding. Once properly fitted and hand-stitched onto the handlebars, they look as if they were made specifically for my classic Pashley.
What impressed me even more is how they feel while riding. The leather provides a wonderfully firm, direct and very high-quality connection to the handlebars. I recently took them on a longer ride and they were extremely comfortable and secure. The best comparison I can think of is the feeling of holding the leather steering wheel of a Porsche 911 – substantial, precise and luxurious.
I particularly appreciate that the design is understated. There is nothing flashy or unnecessary about these grips; the beautiful leather and traditional construction speak for themselves. They complement a high-quality classic bicycle perfectly.
Installation requires some care and patience, especially if you want the stitching and alignment to be absolutely perfect, but the result is more than worth the effort.
These are not simply bicycle grips – they are a beautifully crafted detail that genuinely enhances both the appearance and the riding experience of the bicycle.
Highly recommended. I would buy them again without hesitation.
I put these grips on my wife’s and my townie bikes and when I sold mine and built up a new flat bar bikethere was no question which grips I was going to use. These look and feel great, warm on the bare hand in the summer and grippy when it rains. I sewed these with a baseball stitch for a little visual interest. It would be nice if there were more color options for the thread.
Perfect touch for my wife’s custom build!
