Attaches with a long belt that threads through your seat rail or saddle eyelets. Comes with a second attachment point with a leather cord to help secure the bag to the stem, which is optional (the belt-and-suspenders technique). We have tied the optional cord around the seat post or through the springs of a sprung saddle, but it can be used in any way that makes the most sense on your bike. For extra security, you can thread a zip tie through the second string holes as a theft deterrent.

I had just completed a refresh on a ten year old Trek Single-Spd that I bought secondhand but I felt like something was missing- The Brooks B17 needed a friend but I didn't want something chintzy that would take all the other upgrades down a notch. In steps the Walnut Barrel Bag. It's just the finishing touch that I was looking for and adds a dash of personality while performing a needed function. I've only just now installed but quality seems good enough to last as long as it doesn't sit in the sun too much and stays out of the rain- Precautions Brooks saddle owners know all too well. They also offer replacement straps, should those wear out and you can even buy a longer one to allow for mounting on the bars if you prefer that to behind the saddle.
Anyway, thanks for the great work- Would consider other stuff, should the need arise.
