Featured Project: "Refined Yet Rustic" Colorado Mountain Chalet

This large home was an exciting challenge to design. "This project had an emphasis on reclaimed wood, dry stacked rock throughout and exotic granite. It involved refinishing wood floors, one of a kind rugs, wall coverings, a new staircase design, 2 new kitchen designs, cabinetry, custom built buffet and a TV cabinet with a lift system for wide screen TV's, carpet, artwork, custom lighting, chandeliers, pendants and sconces, accessories and much more," Beverly explains.

Beverly oversaw the procurement and layout of a wealth of elements large and small on this detailed project, and Walnut Studiolo's Leather Drawer Pulls were key to achieving the refined-yet-rustic interior design of this mountain living home. "Your quality product added to the ambiance I was trying to create for the main level kitchen," she says.

For the kitchen cabinetry, Beverly selected the The Burnside, a "three-finger" hinged leather pull. The flexible hinge and warm open loop make for easier grasping and perpendicular pulling - which is perfect for frequent use in an often-hectic kitchen environment.

Beverly completely transformed the home. What was once a sterile vacation rental with a parade of strangers moving in and out is now a warm and inviting family home in the mountains. Beverly says she takes her design cues from her clients, and her design style is inspired by nature, other design professionals, her travels and global architecture.
