With increasing shipping costs, delays, strikes, and service changes, it is harder than ever to predict when an order will arrive. We can help our customers with this scheduling service, using the best knowledge we have from shipping regularly.
How to Schedule a Preferred Delivery Date:
- For Homestead Gift Baskets, use the Preferred Delivery Date option
- For all other items, leave us a Message to Seller in the shopping cart during checkout with your special instructions
What Happens:
When you check out your order, you provide us with two important pieces of information that we have to weigh:
- The ideal delivery date (when you want the recipient to receive it)
- Which shipping carrier and service you selected
We then use our best judgment knowing current delivery ranges and accuracy, and distance it needs to travel, to schedule a shipping day for your package.
We will do our best to ship your package so that it will arrive timely to your preferred delivery date using the shipping method you've chosen.
Important Caveats:
- This is not a guarantee of a delivery date. Once we submit the package over the shipping carrier, it is in their hands to deliver. Packages may still experience delays, mishandling, as normal.
- Preferred delivery dates that land on a postal holiday or weekend will be scheduled for at least one postal delivery day in advance.
- During busy shipping seasons like the holidays, we may ship a few days early in order to build in a buffer, in anticipation of delays.
- For loss or damage, we have shipping insurance according to our Shipping Policy. Shipping insurance does not guarantee delivery dates.
- Choose a guaranteed shipping service like UPS/FedEx 2-Day or Overnight for more accurate delivery dates.
- The most economical shipping rates are less likely to have accurate arrival dates. USPS Ground Advantage (and Free Shipping) delivery estimates are particularly difficult to predict and vary widely.
- If you've requested a delivery date that is improbable based on the time allowed and/or shipping method chosen in the order, the best we can do is ship it as fast as possible using our normal delivery schedule in accordance with our Shipping Policy.
- No matter which delivery day is requested, we only ship on days according to our normal schedule and Turnaround Time. This service is not a Rush Service and nothing about this service negates nor supersedes our Shipping Policy.
